Stephane Humbert Lucas (SHL) is a visionary perfumer whose work blends the worlds of visual art and fragrance. Trained at Beaux Arts in Paris, SHL began his journey in a boutique-laboratory on Rue Quincampoix, where he combined his paintings with perfumes. Influenced by synesthesia, SHL’s artistic mind used his unique perception to craft intricate, multi-layered fragrances. A pivotal collaboration with perfumer Henri Sorsana allowed SHL to explore his artistic ambivalence, leading to the creation of brands like Nez à Nez, The Hype Noses, and soOud. Today, SHL continues to push the boundaries of high-end perfume with his refined, artistic creations.
